Please note that the podcast is currently available in Dutch only.
With Koen Fillet and Sven Van Dorst, head of restoration at The Phoebus Foundation studio.
During the conservation of Jan Miel’s Carnaval on a Roman Piazza, something that had remained hidden for centuries came to light on the reverse of the canvas. The discovery takes us back to seventeenth-century Rome, where lively scenes of everyday life found their way into aristocratic collections.
