T. rex Trinity - The Phoebus Foundation
25/05/2025 - 30/11/2026

In the spring of 2025, the Museum of Evolution presents an exceptional loan: Tyrannosaurus rex Trinity. It is only the second time in Danish history that a T. rex has been presented in Denmark.

Measuring 11.6 metres in length and 4.4 metres in height, Trinity is assembled from fossil material belonging to three individual T. rex specimens. This rare configuration offers unique opportunities for both scientific research and public engagement. The exceptionally well-preserved skull, originating from a single individual, allows for detailed study of brain structure, sensory capabilities, and bite force. Research on Trinity is led by Professor Dr Nizar Ibrahim and his team at the University of Portsmouth.

T. rex Trinity is on long-term loan from The Phoebus Foundation and will remain on view at the Museum of Evolution throughout the 2025 and 2026 seasons. With only a small number of T. rex fossils accessible to the public in Europe, this presentation offers a rare opportunity to encounter one of the most iconic creatures in natural history at close range.
