Michaelina Wautier, Painter - The Phoebus Foundation
30/09/2025 - 22/02/2026

This exhibition celebrates Michaelina Wautier, one of the most remarkable rediscoveries of the seventeenth century. Known for her striking portraits, Wautier broke through the boundaries that often limited women artists of her time.

Visitors are given the unique opportunity to explore almost the entire oeuvre of this remarkable figure. On view are three masterpieces by Wautier and her brother from The Phoebus Foundation’s collection, including Study of a Young Woman.

The exhibition runs through February 22, 2026, at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. More information and tickets are available on the museum’s website: www.khm.at.
